Right,
Brackeys Game Jam 2026.2 is underway, and we’re diving into something new: Project VH, a 2D puzzle adventure with a strong focus on story.
The theme this time is TRUST NO ONE, and honestly, it lines up really well with an idea we’d already been kicking around. The game centers on environmental storytelling and unreliable narration — you’ll be piecing together what happened to someone through clues that don’t always agree with each other, in a place that doesn’t always behave the way you’d expect.
Where We’re At
We’re still early — right now it’s concept and structure work rather than anything playable. The core narrative is coming together, and we’re figuring out how the puzzle and exploration mechanics can actually support the story rather than just sit alongside it.
That’s been the main challenge so far: this is a heavier, more narrative-driven project than what we’ve done before, so a lot of the early work is making sure the mechanics and the story are pulling in the same direction instead of fighting each other.
What’s Next
Over the next while we’ll be locking down the story beats, figuring out the moment-to-moment gameplay loop, and starting to block out the space itself. More updates as things take shape.
All the best,
F2I Team
